Live the #LovePowerLife
This will be a really short post. I haven't been getting enough rest lately and have been dealing with some major headaches and eye twitching. Trying to figure out what is causing me to toss and turn at night. I think I just need a tropical island in my life real soon. Ha! I'll have to see what I can do about that. Anyways....
My roomie Tiff and I had a great weekend filled with some pretty nice activity. On Friday, we celebrated a friend's birthday at a restaurant we never tried. I risked getting sick from gluten consumption to indulge in their bread pudding. It was pretty good. Still on the fence if it was worth the upset tummy the day after though. On Saturday we went to one of my fave venues in the city Blank Space for Clothesline featuring the art of Kristin Fleishmann and the music of my homies Hawthorne Headhunters. The place was packed and the show was on point. DJ Agile One & DJ Needles along with a couple DJ from ATL kept it turnt' up. We were out all night. Sunday was my niece's 12th birthday party at a bowling alley. My fave pastime and since the terrible damage to my hands and wrists I have to bowl like an old lady using two hands and a squat. I still had a good time though. Later we went back to my sister's house and played a never-ending game of Taboo and Jumping Monkeys. Talk about lots of laughs and good times.
It felt good to get out every night of the weekend and do something. I realize, however, I'm no Spring chicken. More like a wise old bear in need of a little hibernation. As much as I want to go to every event and be everywhere every moment there are some good times to be had I've got to get this sleep, these headaches and eye twitching under control and then I can truly enjoy myself. Fun is great, but if I'm not here to enjoy it, that's no bueno. Enjoy your week and remember have some fun but get some good rest too. Love you!
Spread Love. Be Love. Live a #LovePowerLife
Ever since I was young, I wanted to make a difference in the world. As an activist at heart and a flower child of sorts, my mom would constantly ask me "where did you come from?"-haha! Now that I'm older I have a clear understanding and I'm confident to say that I come from LOVE.
