FeliceSkye Judges Hot Poets at UrbArts Saturday Nite Slam Oct. 25

It was my pleasure and honor to be a judge tonight for the third competition of UrbSlam's 4th season. Last year they took 4 winning poets on a tour of South Carolina, Houston and Oakland. It's now a new year and a new team and they're looking for the hottest poets to join. Tonight there were some poets from Paducah and Carbondale in the house and we saw a nice variety of talent from the participants. Of the 16 wordsmiths that competed Freeman Word took home a much deserved cash prize of $50. DJ Fred aka Smoooth was totally on point with the tunes and MK Stallings kept us in stitches with his quick wit. It's free for poets and $7 general admission, $5 for students and $3 for UrbArts members.
